Other Victorians businesses to receive awards were Zoos Victoria’s Melbourne Zoo in the Major Tourist Attractions category, Boat Harbour Jetty B&B in Port Albert for the Hosted Accommodation category and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for the Business Event Venues category.

Urban Camp Melbourne also received the highest recognition from the industry after being inducted into the Hall of Fame in the 3-3.5 Star Accommodation category.

All up, there were Victorian finalists in 23 of the awards’ 26 categories.

Since they were first held in 1984, the Australian Tourism Awards have grown into the nation’s premier recognition of outstanding contributions to the tourism sector.

Victorian business’ recognition at the Awards arrives as the state’s tourism sector continues to grow – in the year ending September 2024, Victoria’s visitor economy was worth a record $39.7 billion.
