Grand Prix excitement shifts up a gear thanks to Fan Festival

Free, family friendly festival allows more people to experience the thrill of the FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX.

The FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX is back and bigger than ever in 2025, thanks in part to a new F1 Melbourne Fan Festival.

The free, family friendly festival kicked off at Melbourne Park Oval on Wednesday, 12 March 2025, and will wrap up after the main race on Sunday, 16 March 2025.

Tickets to the FORMULA 1 AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX are already sold out for Saturday and Sunday, but anyone can attend the Fan Festival and watch races and exclusive live crosses straight from the track – while soaking up the atmosphere of the Grand Prix, for free.

The five-day festival will feature appearances from sport stars and will be packed with all sorts of activities, including virtual Driver Selfies, the F1® Blast Lane and an F1® show car.

It will also have a dedicated video gaming lounge, food and drinks, and will give fans the chance to get up close with drivers during live interviews and Q&A sessions.

The Grand Prix brings visitors from across Australia and throughout the world to Melbourne. As at 10 March 2025, 94 per cent of Melbourne Central hotel rooms were booked out for the Saturday night of the Grand Prix weekend.

Australian Grand Prix Corporation, CEO, Travis Auld said the Fan Festival would add to the atmosphere around what is already one of the largest international sporting events in the southern hemisphere.

"Race week is such an exciting time in the city, and this festival will be an extension of the incredible offerings already available within the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit,”
