Building a strong future for tourism in Victoria’s regions

Published: 19 January 2024

The Enabling Tourism Fund is now open!

Regional tourism is set for a huge boost with a new round of the Enabling Tourism Fund providing up to $8 million to get tourism projects investment-ready, giving visitors more reasons to stay longer in Victoria’s regions.

Grants are open to tourism businesses, local and state entities, not-for-profit and Traditional Owner organisations to ensure they have everything they need for a project to be ready for investment.

The fund will provide grants under 2 streams.

Stream 1 will provide grants between $20,000 and $500,000 (excl. GST) for a project to test the concept of a new infrastructure project, such as a feasibility study, master plan or business case.

Stream 2 will provide grants between $20,000 and $500,000 (excl. GST) to prepare a combination of materials to ensure that a project is ready for infrastructure investment. These could include a detailed design package, funding strategy, or stakeholder and community engagement plans.

Grants will focus on the 5 product priorities identified in Experience Victoria 2033: First Peoples-led experiences, wellness, arts and culture, food and drink, and nature.
