Tourism Victoria has launched a hot new mobile application – the Insiders’ Guide to Melbourne – giving visitors the lowdown on what’s hot and what’s on in Melbourne this spring.
An Australian-first, the free guide features information about some of Melbourne’s coolest bars, restaurants, shops, cafes and events and includes a short description, contact details and a map showing how to get there.
Tourism Victoria’s Director of Marketing, Don Richter explained that the Insiders’ Guide to Melbourne highlights the range of experiences and activities that visitors can enjoy in Melbourne.
“The guide gives suggestions on how to immerse yourself in the city’s culture by highlighting the places to eat, drink, shop and sight-see,” he said.
“Melbourne is constantly evolving and there are always new things to discover – many of which are tucked down hidden laneways or behind non-descript doors.”
The Insider’s Guide to Melbourne is free and can be downloaded to compatible mobile phones by SMSing the word ‘guide’ to 0448 848 433 (04488 GUIDE).
Tourism Victoria will launch four editions of the guide with each season - the spring edition is available now.
