The eagerly awaited Crown Melbourne Jazz 2007, from Thursday 3 May to Sunday 13 May, will feature a sensational selection of world music, jazz, Latin, blues and gospel performed by a dazzling array of international and Australian artists.
Most of the 100 performances will be staged at eight riverside venues, five at Crown and two at Federation Square and at Hamer Hall. The festival will present six free performances every day on the Yarra River promenade and at Federation Square.
Crown will present performances from midday to midnight, at Conservatory Lunch Jazz at Crown, JJ’S Dinner Jazz at Crown, the highlight show at The Palms at Crown, and Club: LIVE at Crown Round Midnight Club – The Official Jam Session of the Festival.
There will be performances by dozens of musicians such as Kenny Lopez, Aaron Choulai, Mike Nock, Paul Grabowsky, Bob Sedergreen and Tony Gould. They join the Australian line-up at The Palms at Crown and Hamer Hall: Yvette Johansson; Kate Ceberano; James Morrison; Elana Stone; Janet Seidel; Graeme Lyall; Doug de Vries; Joe Chindamo; Kamie Oehlers; Mat Jodrell and the Moovin’ and Groovin’ band.
