Discover your creative side at Kyneton's Lauriston Press

Lauriston Press

Part art gallery, part studio and part art-school,  Lauriston Press is a unique new business  in Macedon Ranges that will help you unleash your inner artist or art appreciator.

Six months ago, local artist Sarah Gabriel decided to open her art studio to the public and offer her expertise to visitors. Lauriston Press provides open access facilities, workshops, original prints (by Gabriel, who uses French inks and Italian paper to create her work, and other established printmakers), drawings and specialised retail art supplies.

Particularly unique is the program of creative workshops for small intimate groups that Gabriel has established in such areas as drawing, printmaking and book making.

Workshops take place mainly on weekends, between 10am - 4pm.
Sessions coming up in the next few months include:
Pencil and Ink Drawing (7 June, 4 and 10 July, 2 and 21 August, 11 and 27 September)
Linocut (25 July, 13 September)
Etching (20-21 June and 19-20 September)
Woodcut for Beginners (16 August),
Bookmaking (6 September)
Mono-printing (18 July)

Lauriston Press is located at 37B Piper Street, Kyneton, and is open Thursday to Sunday from 10am-4pm and Mondays by appointment.
