A new retreat opens in Victoria’s picturesque Yarra Valley
Brand new self-contained cottages overlooking the beautiful Yarra River have just opened in the picturesque Yarra Valley, 50 minutes from Melbourne.
Yering Gorge Cottages are set on 110 acre private nature reserve which is part of a 630 acre horse and cattle farm. The property has over 12km of walking tracks and is home to many native wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, wild deer, echidnas and a nesting pair of wedge-tail eagles.
Close to wineries, golf courses and fabulous restaurants, these four to five star one- and two-bedroom cottages boast large decks with vistas out over the Yarra Valley – a lovely place to unwind with a glass of local chardonnay.
The light, bright cottages are made from all Victorian timber (sugargum) and set around 50 metres apart for complete privacy and solitude.
The rate of a one bedroom cottage is $199 per night, and a two bedroom cottage is $249 per night.
