A new eco-friendly resort for Phillip Island
Phillip Island, Victoria’s home of the legendary Fairy Penguins, will welcome a new eco-resort – the first of its kind on the island – in July, providing the perfect base for travellers who want to combine quality and comfort with environmental sensitivity.
The All Seasons Eco Resort Phillip Island villas have been designed with the environment and energy efficiency in mind. The villas are scattered within the 65 acre site surrounded by bicycle and bush walking tracks. Wetlands areas will be established as part of storm water management.
The resort offers a mix of accommodation, including self-contained studio spas as well as two- and three- bedroom villas. Resort facilities include a café, swimming pool, tennis courts, health club with gym, spa and sauna and a kids club.
All villas have a five-star eco rating and use renewable or recyclable materials and passive energy design. Wetlands areas are being established and a large woodland gum area has been incorporated into the plans. All 211 villas will be operational by the February 2008.
Opening rates for the resort will start at: $115 for spa studio; $165 for the two-bedroom; and $230 the three-bedroom.
