Blaze through the breweries of Victoria's High Country

Bright Brewerie

The microbreweries of north-east Victoria are blazing a new trail for the state's bourgeoning micro breweries with the new Victoria's High Country Brewery Trail.

The new trail is an exciting way to visit the icon towns of Rutherglen, Bright, Beechworth, Jamieson, Boorhaman and Porepunkah. The touring loop includes stretches of the Great Alpine Road and Murray Valley Highway. It takes in the scenery of the High Country and the mighty Murray River.

The first brewery trail of its kind in Australia, it offers a distinctive, savvy and authentic brewery experience, providing the opportunity to sample some truly fabulous handcrafted beers at six individual micro-breweries.

The breweries on the Trail are: Bintara (Rutherglen); Bridge Road Brewers (Beechworth); Bright Brewery (Bright); Boyntons Brewing Co (Porepunkah); Buffalo Brewery (Boorhaman); and Jamieson Brewery (Jamieson).

Two up-coming breweries (Sweet Water Brewing Company and Beechworth Brewery) will be joining the trail in the future.

Sample Victoria's award-winning beers as you relax in the peaceful surrounds. See close up where the beers are brewed and learn what goes into crafting a unique beer. Possibly even learn the secrets from talking the brewers themselves.

Bright Brewery also offers the unique and new experience of being a brewer for a day. Dates and prices are on request by calling Bright Brewery on (03) 5755 1301 or visiting www.brightbrewery.com.au
