Otway Odyssey Mountain Bike Marathon and Forrest Festival, 3 February
This event involves a 100km mountain bike race through the Otways, some of toughest terrain in Victoria.  Organisers expect between 2,000-4,000 people. Starting at the ocean, competitors will ride into the mountains through rainforest, around lakes and across rivers along 100km of single-track and forest trails.

Grampians Jazz Festival, 9 – 11 February
Musicians and lovers of jazz will flock to Halls Gap for the annual Grampians Jazz Festival.  Streets, organised venues and any patch of bare ground will ring to the sounds of saxophones, trombones, banjos, trumpets and more as a record number of bands perform over the weekend.

NAB Cup, 23 February – 17 March
All the AFL action begins when the 16 teams go head-to-head in the 2007 NAB Cup. Witness all the spectacle of Australian Football, the trial rules and the new line-ups as the battles heat up in this knock-out style competition. Yamaha Phillip Island World Superbike Championship, 2 - 4 March

Red Hill International Cool Climate Wine Show, 7 & 9 March

Twilights at Melbourne Zoo, 20 January – 24 March

Harvest of Gippsland, 11 March
This annual food and wine event is a showcase of Gippsland's organic, gourmet and boutique food and wine products. Celebrity chef, Gabriel Gaté together with the finalists from the Gateway to Gippsland Signature Dish Cook-off, will cook up a storm with local produce to inspire and entertain the crowds, along with live music from the New Melbourne Jazz Band and the Hot 'B” Hines Jazz.  Entry to Harvest of Gippsland (held at Lardner Park, Warragul) is $15 for adults; children under 16yrs are free.
