Exciting new Developments in Albury-Wodonga
The Murray River flows between the twin cities of Albury-Wodonga. This thriving, modern city has a leisurely country charm with a mix of heritage buildings, parks and gardens.
Visitors have even more reason to visit the region with the opening of some major tourist attractions.
Albury's iconic Ettamogah Pub, which originated in the uproarious cartoons of Aussie artist Ken Maynard, has just opened 17 cabins which sleep between four to six people.
The Ettamogah Pub, which claims to be the most photographed pub in the world, was made famous through the Ken Maynard cartoon series that featured in the Australasian Post for more than 40 years. Ken Maynard, a former policeman, grew up at Albury but sold the rights to the cartoon series before he died.
The site also features the Ken Maynard Museum and artwork collection. Plenty of fun with lots to see and do for all ages. Meeting “Struth” the cockatoo is always a highlight. Located on the Hume Highway, north of Albury at Table Top.

Another exciting development is the expansion of Bintara Brewery, situated in the Tuileries Complex in the old Seppelts cellars at Rutherglen.
Owner and brewer Michael Murtagh is moving the operation to his Murray
Valley Highway property between Wodonga and Rutherglen and incorporating it with a winery, cafe and 140-seat conference and function centre. Set to open in March 2007, the new facility is located on a hill overlooking the Murtagh's vineyards and beautiful Murray Valley.
The development ties in with the release of their own range of wines under the Vintara label, so visitors can enjoy beer or wine as they indulge in a regionally-based breakfast or lunch and view the brewing and winemaking operations.
