Delight your Palate with a Taste of Rutherglen

rutherglen

Rutherglen, located in Victoria's North East, is one of Australia's oldest wine-growing districts and enterprising winemakers have been taking advantage of its fertile land and mild climate since the early 1800s.

Taste an array of the region's best wine and produce over the two consecutive March weekends (March 10-11 & & March 17-18) at the annual Tastes of Rutherglen celebration.

Tastes of Rutherglen guests purchase a commemorative tasting glass for $5.00 at any of the 19 participating wineries, and then sample their way through the latest releases. A specially matched dish from one of the region's top restaurants will be available at each winery from $15.00 which includes a glass of wine to match. Bus transport between the wineries is available (sponsored by TAC).

Throughout both weekends, a range of events will take place at different wineries. The Regional Produce Market will take place each weekend at Cofield Wines where you can taste, buy, and meet the makers of renowned Rutherglen products such as Lyric Olive Oil, Ramelton Free Range Eggs, Milawa Bakery Sourdough and Pickled Sisters Preserves.
