Enjoy a Festival of Flim under the Stars
Melbourne's balmy summer evenings provide a Festive atmosphere to watch the latest movies at the new St.George OpenAir Cinema in Birrarung Marr, running from 1 February - 1 March 2007.
The parkland location next to Federation Square and the Yarra River makes the most of the spirit and beauty of Melbourne. The outdoor cinema has grandstand seating for 1600 people overlooking the river, a fully licensed restaurant and bar and a three-storey, 400 square metre screen with 32-speaker digital surround sound. Films will span a variety of genres from comedy to thriller, and blockbuster to art-house.
There will be several Premieres throughout the festival, providing locals with the opportunity to be the first to see many of this year's most talked about movies, such as Notes of a Scandal (staring Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench who both received a Golden Globe nominated for their roles) which premieres on Tuesday 13 February.
Pre-sale tickets are $20 general admission and $19 concession (plus booking fee) and are available via the website or by calling smarticket on 1300 366 649. Tickets on the gate are $20 general admission and $19 concession.
