Phillip Island welcomes Rusty Water Brewery Restaurant & Café

Rusty Water Brewery

Rusty Water Brewery Restaurant and Café, a new bar and eatery, has just opened in Cowes in Phillip Island.

Father and son team Norm and Damian Sutherland, both experienced chefs, opened Rusty Water two months ago the realisation of a long-held dream to start their own micro brewery and to diversify beyond their existing restaurant business.

After studying together to get their professional brewing credentials, the Sutherlands now produce four hand crafted naturally brewed ales. Available exclusively at Rusty Water, these can be sampled at the bar (special ‘sample boards’ with tasting glasses of all four beers are available), or matched with locally source produce at the restaurant, which serves modern Italian and international influenced cuisine.

Currently brewing off site, the Sutherlands will soon move their brewing operation to the Rusty Water premises so that visitors can watch the creation of the amber fluid first hand. Also watch out for some special one-off new beers created just for the summer months.

Rusty Water Brewery Restaurant and Café is located at 1821 Phillip Island Tourist Road, Sunset Strip.
