Canak Adventures – Kayaking and Wine Tasting Tour
Paddle down the Goulburn River on a wine tour with a difference. Combine kayaking down a river with visits to local wineries with Canak Adventures, a new tour operator operating out of the Central Victorian Goldfields town of Bendigo.
This fun, adventurous tour is designed especially for those with no kayaking experience and the kayaks are very wide and stable.
The morning is spent kayaking down the river, with a stop at the famous Mitchelton Winery for a gourmet morning tea and hot drinks. The winery has wine tastings, an art gallery and lookout tower.
Participants who would like to enjoy a few wines at the first stop, or who are tired of kayaking, can chose to take the bus to the next winery. The rest of the group then begins the second kayaking stretch, which is around two hours through spectacular wetlands teaming with wildlife.
Tahbilk Winery is the final destination, where lunch is served in the wetlands café, with local wines included. Cellar door wine tastings, an under ground cellar and nature walks are also available. The tour then returns to Bendigo between 4-5pm.
Transport from Bendigo to the Goulburn River, kayaking equipment, morning tea and lunch are included in the cost of the tour $147.
