Savour a taste of Spain in Gippsland at Brandy Creek Wines and View Café

Set among the rolling green countryside of West Gippsland, Brandy Creek Wines and View Café offers visitors delicious food and wine and breathtaking panoramic views of the vineyard, olive grove and distant mountains.

The cellar door showcases 11 premium cool climate wines including chardonnay, shiraz, pinot rose, pinot noir and the award-winning sparkling pinot gris.

Owners of the business, Rick Stockdale and Marie McDonald, grow tempranillo - a Spanish grape variety which inspired them to theme the property using Mediterranean style décor and cuisine.

The View Cafe serves tapas, chicken and jamon croquettes, tortilla Espanola, meatballs in a rich, spicy tomato sauce and Marie’s very popular paella. The desserts are also Mediterranean favourites such as Portuguese custard tart, Spanish drunken cake and churros – Spanish donuts with a Lindt chocolate dipping sauce.

Food and wine can be enjoyed indoors at The View Café or alfresco on the terrace or in the vineyard gazebo.

Twelve months after opening the building has already doubled in size and the café is now open during the week and for dinner on the weekends. Other improvements include exterior blinds at the café and a retractable roof to cater for private functions.
