Enjoy a taste of Melbourne

Allan Campion

Join chef and food author Allan Campion as he leads food-lovers on an interactive tour to his all-time favourite foodie places.

The tours begin with a coffee and freshly baked pastries in South Melbourne, then on to a tutored olive oil and chocolate truffle tasting at Prahran Market. A quick yum cha follows, before the group’s whisked across the Yarra for a cheese sampling at one of the city's best providores, and then onto Carlton for traditional gelati. The tour concludes with a glass of wine in funky Fitzroy.

Along the way, Allan brings guests up-to-date about the latest and greatest places to eat around town and exciting foodies' news and information.

The tour is conducted in a mini bus at a cost of $125 per person. It runs from 10am to 3pm, starting and finishing at Federation Square.

The next tour will run on Saturday 8 September 2007.

Melbourne Food Tours were created by Allan Campion – chef and co-author of The Foodies' Guide to Melbourne - to give visitors a taste of the city’s best gourmet spots. Foodies' Tours began in 2002 and the response was so amazing the tours continue today for the public and private groups on a regular basis.
