Priscilla rolls into Melbourne
The next stop on Priscilla Queen of the Desert - The Musical’s amazing journey is Melbourne. The hit musical will open at the Regent Theatre on Saturday 6 October 2007, which coincides with its one-year anniversary.
Priscilla is an all-Australian production quite unlike any other – featuring 20 full-scale production numbers and a sensational song list including disco hit classics I Will Survive, Finally and Shake Your Groove Thing.
Priscilla tells the funny and moving tale of three ‘fish out of water’ who head west across the desert from Sydney to Alice Springs to perform a drag show. The flamboyant stars, ‘Bernadette’, ‘Tick’ and ‘Adam’, are joined on stage by Priscilla the bus, a glittering custom-built, six-tonne, $1 million centrepiece.
