Elizabeth Island, a 65 acre private island retreat, has opened in Westernport Bay off the Mornington Peninsula.
The ideal place for holiday makers who want to get away from the rest of humanity, Elizabeth Island has no roads or shops, and is situated by the bay approximately eight kilometres south west of Corinella and 15 kilometres north east of Phillip Island.
Guests who stay in the island’s modern three bedroom residence have free reign of the entire island. It features a sheltered sandy beach perfect for swimming, a jetty to fish from and great landscape for walking.
The self-contained house can comfortably sleep six people and is fully equipped with all modern appliances including a spa, home theatre, espresso machine and a wood fire, ideal for hibernating inside on a blustery winters day. Gourmet hampers and a ‘drop in’ personal chef are both available on request.
Guests who have their own boat can reach Elizabeth Island via Corinella, Rhyll or Hastings. For those without a boat, the French Island Barge offers transfers to the Island or Phillip Island Helicopters can transport you.
