New surf retreats for women
Learn to ride a wave then relax and rejuvenate with new Surf and Soul weekends run by former pro-surfer Jodie Smith at the Great Ocean Road. From affordable to luxury, the retreats cater for all levels of fitness and budgets.
Jodie Smith, who was a professional surfer for 10 years, is now a qualified surf coach and nutritionist. Her Surf and Soul team includes other experienced women surfers, qualified yoga teachers, nutritionists, and massage therapists.
The basic daily schedule begins at 7am with freshly squeezed lemon and ginger tea, followed by an awakening yoga session, then a cleansing fresh juice, a tasty healthy breakfast, and a surf session before lunch.
Lunch also features fresh fruit and vegetables, then there is an optional second surf, or other activities such as coastal walks, tennis, soccer, or just some relaxing time on the beach.
After dinner there is an optional meditation session before going to bed. Discussion, tips and advice on nutrition and healthy eating is available at any time with Jodie.
Accomodation ranges from luxury cottages and ocean view houses to bunk houses and a motel facility. Participants choose what suits their taste and budget.
Three day/two night retreats are available every first and third weekend of the month for individuals, and group/private bookings are available every other weekend and all weekdays. Five-day Detox Retreats are held once a month from September to November.
