Discover Docklands

Docklands in Melbourne

Melbourne's dynamic new precinct, Waterfront City, is irrevocably changing the look and feel of the city. It is the home for some fine dining destinations including Bluefire, Wine & Cheese Providore, Fish Seafood Grill & Restaurant as well as a great venue for public events and festivals.

In April the area will feature a boutique craft market, with over 60 boutique stalls, everything sold at the markets will be fresh, home-made and great value. A community-based free event for the Docklands area, the Waterfront City boutique craft markets will run every Saturday in April from 10am - 4pm.

Waterfront City at Docklands

One of best ways to explore Waterfront City and surrounding areas is by bicycle. Docklands now has its own bike hire service - Rentabike @ Docklands, which has recently opened next to the Pavilion at Waterfront City.

It has a fleet of brand new 21-speed Gitane mountain bikes, as well as kids' bikes, baby seats, and tandem for hire. Rentabike offers a handlebar bag, repair kit and pump, lock, bottle of water and sunscreen free with every hire. Bikes can be hired for $15 for the first hour and $5 for every hour after that. All day (from 9am - 5pm) is available from $40.
